Batteries & Airsoft Replicas

We provide information within our website with the range of replicas we sell.

This information is based on what the manufacturers recommend to maintain a warranty on the range of replicas.

We list batteries specific to the replica where required as some replicas do not require batteries such as gas or spring systems.

If you fit a higher voltage battery than specified you will void your warranty as a result will damage your replica.

Symptoms of using a battery voltage over what we specify will create problems as listed

  1. The motor will run at a higher speed and overheat as motors are designed to take a specific voltage.
  2. The gear box will work considerably quicker and cause wear due to being overrun.
  3. Although fitting an 11.1v battery will increase your rate of fire (rof) it will cause issues as outlined in section 1 &2.
  4. Using a higher voltage battery will severely damage your replica and void any warranty.
  5. We know how to check inhouse in our workshops if a higher voltage input has been created.
  6. The myth of a (I can use a higher voltage battery as I have a mosfet) is absolute nonsense, a mosfet is a switch which is designed to protect a battery in airsoft applications, thus allowing the battery not to completely drain which is catastrophic to a lipo battery.
  7. Not all replicas have mosfet’s fitted.
  8. You can however increase longevity by purchasing a battery with a higher amp hour range, this means the high the amp hours the longer the battery lasts.

Upgrading your replica.

You can upgrade your motor and gear box to run at higher rates of fire but must be conducted by Airtech mechanics  who have experience in these matter, its not a case of buying the parts on ebay and having a go, it is an exact science.
